The Friends of the Confederation Centre Public Library would like to extend an invitation to Music For A Winter's Afternoon on Sunday, November 26 at 1:00 p.m. at the Confederation Centre Public Library. James Phillips is a multi-instrumentalist, producer and engineer originally hailing from Tyne Valley, Prince Edward Island. He has performed and produced various artists. He has performed as a member of various Island acts including the Saddle River Stringband, The James Phillips Trio, Sweetheart Jim and the Brothers Grimm, The Pit Ponies, The New Drifts and more. He has worked with an assortment of maritime artists including Catherine MacLellan and Nathan Wiley. He won an ECMA for this work on Saddle River Stringband's self-titled debut as well as a PEI Music Award for Best Bluegrass Recording and Best New Artist (Saddle River Stringband). He currently teaches guitar, mandolin and bass at Long & McQuade and is working on new recordings.
