The RCMP says a missing person case in PEI is still being actively investigated — 60 years after it began. 19-year old Eileen Faye Williams was last seen on August 6, 1962. Cpl. Alexis Triantafillou of the PEI RCMP Major Crime Unit is leading the investigation and is appealing to the public to come forward with any details that may help police locate Eileen or discover what happened to her when she disappeared. The information gathered at the time suggested Eileen was considering going to a party in Montague on the night she disappeared, and had last been seen just outside Montague on the road that leads towards Murray River and Beach Point. Her disappearance is considered suspicious and Triantafillou is hoping the information will help jog memories, or maybe encourage people to come forward with information they haven’t shared before.
