A community group called Charlottetown Mutual Aid is doing all it can to help Islanders including seniors impacted by Hurricane Fiona. For many it’s been nine days without power. For many it’s a major struggle.
Charlottetown Mutual Aid began recruiting volunteers to help out a week ago. They are located in the Murphy Community Centre in Room 207 and are open between 12 noon and 8.00 in the evening.
They have food, hygiene supplies, and blankets/
Volunteers are helping with packing and delivering groceries, cooking dinners and checking on neighbours.
They can be reached at 1-782-377-5545 or by email at charlottetownmutualaid@gmail.com
