Summerside has a new Police Chief

The City of Summerside has a new Police Chief after the retirement this week of Dave Poirier, who had been Chief for the past 16 years.  On Tuesday morning, Sinclair Walker was promoted to Chief of the Summerside Police Service after serving as the Deputy Chief for the past 11-years.  Walker is currently in his 42nd year with the Summerside Police Service, having joined the department in 1980 after graduating from the Atlantic Police Academy in 1978. Walker has been Deputy Chief since 2011.
