In the Maritime Junior Hockey League Thursday night, the Summerside Western Capitals lost 2-1 to Yarmouth.
Members of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League have unanimously passed a resolution to officially change the league’s name. The new name will be the Quebec Maritimes Junior Hockey League in order to incorporate the East Coast region into the league’s brand identity. The league says most of the six teams in the Maritimes Division have been integral members for over 20 years and have significantly contributed to the Q’s success.
In the Q on Friday night, the Charlottetown Islanders host the Cape Breton Eagles.
The Las Vegas Raiders scored 42 points by halftime and rolled to a record 63-21 victory over the L-A Chargers in the Thursday night NFL game.
