New Year’s Eve celebrations will be held in Charlottetown and Summerside on Sunday.
A Capital New Year will be held in Charlottetown as the City and Founders’ Food Hall and Market hold a family-friendly event which begins at 3.00 on this afternoon with live music, displays and events. A fireworks show will be held at 7.00 this evening. Mayor Philip Brown is welcoming everyone to the waterfront. Last year thousands took in the event near Confederation Landing Park.
Credit Union Place will hold New Year’s Eve festivities in Summerside beginning at 4.00 this afternoon. There will be a pool party, bowling, and skating plus horse rides and bouncy castles inside the Dome.
The Summerside Western Capitals will also host the Pictou County Crushers at 5.00 in Maritime Jr. hockey.
