House fire in Charlottetown claims life of 71-year old woman

There was a fatal house fire in Charlottetown on Thursday night.  The Charlottetown Fire Department, Charlottetown Police and Island EMS all responded to the call at about 10:00pm, and arrived to find a working fire in a house in the West Royalty area.  Police say a 71-year old woman was found deceased in the home.   The house sustained extensive damage as a result of the fire.  Fire officials are investigating, trying to pinpoint the cause of the fire.
