Charlottetown Police laid impaired driving related charges against a couple drivers after two separate incidents over the weekend. Shortly before midnight Friday night, Police responded to a call of a possible impaired driver on Capital Drive. Police located the vehicle on Marianne Drive in Cornwall and determined that the driver was showing signs of being impaired by alcohol and he was arrested. A 23 year old Kingston man has been charged with refusing to provide a breath sample upon demand. A couple hours later at 2:15 am on Saturday, an officer on patrol conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle on Chestnut Street. The driver showed signs of being impaired by alcohol and was arrested. A 22 year old Charlottetown woman was charged with impaired driving after providing breath samples that were above the legal limit.
