Text Scam Alert

Charlottetown police are warning of a text scam to watch out for. Police say a message is sent saying that you have a parking citation from either Charlottetown or another city and asking you to pay through a self serve portal. Police say they never advise of tickets this way and not to click any links. If you have replied and/or sent any money through one of these, you are asked to call your local police non-emergency line to report it.
