Charlottetown Police arrest man wanted for July 2023 Murder in Toronto

On Tuesday night, Charlottetown Police arrested a 35-year old man who was wanted for a murder that occurred in Toronto in July of 2023.  At about 7:20 pm Tuesday, tbe Charlottetown Police Street Crime Unit, with help from the Major Crime Unit and the Rapid Tactical Team arrested 35 year old Michael BEBEE at a business on Belvedere Avenue.  Charlottetown Police were contacted by Toronto Police late last week requesting assistance with tips they had received indicating that BEBEE may be on PEI, evading a Canada Wide warrant for his arrest. After his arrest,  BEBEE was taken to the Provincial Correctional Centre.  Homicide Detectives from the Toronto Police Service will be traveling to PEI to take him back to Ontario in the coming days.  Michael BEBEE is listed as #1 on Canada’s 25 most wanted persons on the Bolo Program — Bolo meaning (Be on the lookout)
