Seven residents in a house on Raspberry Avenue in Charlottetown were able to safely escape after a fire broke out early Wednesday morning. The Charlottetown Fire Department responded to the call shortly before 1:30am and arrived to find flames visible. Fire crews were there for about 3 hours and Deputy Fire Chief Kent Mitchell reports extensive fire damage. The Red Cross is providing assistance to the residents, and fire officials are investigating, trying to determine the cause and origin of the fire.
