Police on PEI believe the same suspect was involved in recent thefts from jewelry stores in Charlottetown and Summerside. On Wednesday we told you about two rings, with a total value of $25-thousand, being stolen from a jewelry store in County Fair Mall in Summerside on Monday afternoon. Charlottetown Police say they are investigating a similar theft that occurred September 1st at a jewelry store at Royalty Crossing mall. Two rings with a total value of about $18-thousand were taken in that incident. Police believe the same person is responsible for both thefts, as well as a recent theft at a jewelry store in Halifax. Charlottetown Police say they have identified a person of interest as the investigation continues. In the Summerside theft, a second suspect, a female, is being sought by police.
