Prince District RCMP have laid two charges of impaired driving causing death against a Charlottetown man. The charges are in connection with a single vehicle crash in Albany in early August that took the lives of two people. Four people were in the vehicle at the time of the crash. A 23-year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene, while a 24-year-old man died later of his injuries. A third person suffered non-life-threatening injuries. The RCMP says 25-year old Thommachen Thomas Panackal of Charlottetown has been charged with two counts of impaired driving causing death, and driving while prohibited. He will appear in court on September 25th.
