Charlottetown woman charged with Murder makes court appearance

A Charlottetown woman, who was charged this week with Murder, appeared in PEI Supreme Court on Thursday.  The Charlottetown Police Major Crime Unit charged 39-year old Cassie Acorn of Charlottetown with murder in the death of her 3-month old infant daughter.   Police say the infant’s death occurred on March 20th at the IWK in Halifax while being treated for injuries sustained during an incident in Charlottetown on March 16th.  In her court appearance Thursday, Acorn was released from custody, with conditions, pending her next court appearance.
