Province opening Confederation Trail to horseback riders

The Province is opening up the Confederation Trail to horseback riders from July 1st to October 31st.  The Prince County, Queens County and Kings County trails will be accessible for equestrians from 30 minutes after sunrise until 30 minutes before sunset.  The province says that while the trail is usually a gravel mix of hard and dry earth during the summer, riding on the trail is not recommended after heavy rain.  Trails will be closed to equestrians after extreme weather events to prevent damage to the trail.
