A big turnout for the 2023 PEI Marathon
Jeff Ratushny of Conquerall Mills, Nova Scotia is the winner of the 19th PEI Marathon with a time of 2 hours 50 minutes and 36 seconds in Charlottetown.
Brad Crowell of Saint John, New Brunswick was second in 2.53.21.
Nova Scotia has three top four finishers.
Mark Leclair of Dartmouth was third and Jeremy Burton from Enfield was fourth.
Jesse Shields from O’Leary was the top Island male finisher in 2.58.23 in 5th place.
Steven Brown of Kinkora was 7th in 3.03.57.
Sandra Cottreau of Charlottetown the top female finisher in 3.10.43.
Half Marathon
Lindsay Lamrock of Suffolk, PEI won the Half Marathon in 1 hour 19 minutes and 12 seconds.
Top male finisher was Cody Cooper of Saint John in 1.21.05.
Vincent Merriam of Stratford was third at 1.21.56 and Ryan Keliher of Stratford was fourth and third among the men in 1.22.03.
16K Run
Michael Peterson of Charlottetown won the 16K run in 1 hour, 3 minutes and 34 seconds.
The top female finisher was Jeanna Parsons Leigh of Halifax in 1.14.02.
Charlottetown Team Relay
The Team Relay was won by Lone Oak with a time of just over three hours.
Stingray had its best finish ever taking 7th place in under four hours.
