Scotiabank plans to shut down more than 15 branches across Atlantic Canada.
The bank says it is consolidating branches because customer preferences are changing and more banking is done digitally.
There will be three Scotiabank closures in PEI although no locations have been named.
Four branches will be closed in New Brunswick, eight in Newfoundland and several more in Nova Scotia according to customers, mayors and bank officials.
