Ocean 100’s 20th annual food drive – the Stuff-a-Bus Food drive was a tremendous success this week thanks to the generosity of our listeners and the business community across PEI. Stuff-a-Bus saw a record amount of food donations and monetary donations this year – a year which has seen food banks across see the number of families needing their services increase by as much as 30 to 50 percent over last year. This year, Stuff-a-bus saw us broadcast from the Tignish Co-Op, Vogue Optical in Summerside and Montague, and Mike and Andreea’s No Frills in Stratford. The donations made in each community stayed with that area’s food bank – the West Prince Caring Cupboard, Salvation Army Summerside Food Bank, Southern Kings and Queens Food Bank, and Upper Room Food Bank.
