Early Tuesday, at about 3:00am, Charlottetown Police responded to a complaint of someone going through vehicles along Parkview Drive. In responding to the area, Police found a man inside a vehicle on MacKay Drive. After a foot chase, an officer was able to catch up to the suspect on Palmers Lane where he was arrested without further incident.
During a search of the suspect, Police found a collapsible baton and other items that had been stolen from vehicles.
A 33 year old Charlottetown man has been charged with theft under $5000, trespass at night, possession of a weapon for dangerous purposes and breach of probation.
