Bioscience company SEKISUI Diagnostics and the Provincial Government have announced a $16 million investment in an expansion of the company’s Charlottetown facilities. The province is contributing a capital investment of $3.9 million and a labour rebate in support of the Charlottetown expansion. Sekisui Diagnostics says the new 22,000 square-foot facility in Charlottetown will be completed by 2026 and will go directly into production for a European customer. The expansion will mean more jobs, with 25 highly skilled positions being added to the company’s local workforce of 200 employees.
