WestJet will not be flying out of Charlottetown this winter.
It currently has a daily flight to Toronto and was to have three flights a week in the winter. That’s starting on November 15th.
But the airline is going to be concentrating on more resources in western Canada.
Flights out of Fredericton, Sydney and Quebec City are also affected with the change.
Meantime, Swoop Airlines which just began service in Charlottetown to Hamilton and Toronto this year will continue to fly out of Charlottetown. The discount airline will have three flights per week this winter on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
