“Exposure” yourself to the photography in the exhibition The Best of Red Sands Photography Club, opening Sunday, March 4th at 2 pm. There are sure to be photos of wildlife, landscapes and people in this group exhibition. It will be on display until March 29th. Opening on April 8th is an exhibition featuring many of Summerside’s heritage buildings, in paintings by Eddy Schwartz. The Centre is open from Tuesday to Friday from 10 to 4, and 12 to 4 on Sunday. Admission is by donation. The on-site gift shop carries only Island art and craft, as well as books on local themes. Don’t miss the permanent exhibition on the history and architecture of Summerside, too. BOOKS
The members of the Eptek Centre Book Club will meet Thursday, March 1st at 7 pm to discuss The View from Castle Rock by Alice Munro. In short stories that are more personal than any that she’s written before, Alice Munro pieces her family’s history into gloriously imagined fiction. New members are welcome. Eptek Centre is a site of the Prince Edward Island Museum and Heritage Foundation and is located at 130 Heather Moyse Drive on the Summerside waterfront. For more information call 902-888-8373.
