AVC SAVMA Trails for Tails 5k Run/Walk

The Atlantic Veterinary College (AVC) chapter of the Student American Veterinary Medical Association (SAVMA) is proud to be hosting the second annual Trails for Tails Run/Walk! This 5km fun run or walk is an all-ages event (ages 10+ for run participation) welcoming all fitness levels and is taking place at the WA Murphy Student Center on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 at 9am. Sanctioned by the PEI Roadrunners Club, this event will raise community awareness of veterinary student organizations, helping to support our students in leadership development at the local and national level. For a run registration donation of $25, participants will receive a participation medal with the “Trails for Tails” logo, specially designed by a talented AVC student. The registration donations will also support SAVMA leadership opportunities for students, as well as the Pegasus Helping Hands Fund. Established by the Pegasus Family Foundation, AVC Classes of 2001 and 2011, and other donors, this fund assists clients of the AVC Veterinary Teaching Hospital who are on limited incomes to provide much needed surgical or medical care for their cat or dog.
