One of PEI’s best known volunteers in hockey has passed away.
Harry James was in his 80’s and was a key volunteer for Sherwood-Parkdale Rural Minor Hockey and sold 50/50 tickets at UPEI hockey games for years. Hockey PEI says we have lost a valued member of the hockey community.
Harry was also known for expertise in small appliance repair with a company he ran for many years. He also had one of the biggest displays of outdoor lights every Christmas in his neighbourhood. Harry was known for friendly demeanor and his service to his community. In his honour, neighbours are putting on their Christmas lights to remember him.
Funeral arrangements will be announced.
