Prince District RCMP is looking for the public’s help to solve two suspicious fires on Sunday.
It was about 1:00 p.m. when the RCMP and firefighters responded to a fire at an abandoned house on Route 8 in Freetown. The building was completely destroyed. While on the scene of that fire, police and firefighters were called to a second abandoned house fire on Route 110 in Lower Freetown at 1:15 p.m. Fire officials were able to quickly put out that second fire.
The RCMP says that no one was injured at either of the fires.
The Provincial Fire Marshall attended both scenes and the fires have been deemed to be suspicious. Police are asking anyone with information about the two fires to contact East Prince RCMP or PEI Crime Stoppers. The Borden, Crapaud, New London, Kinkora and Kensington Fire Departments all responded to the fires.
