Early Tuesday morning, shortly after midnight, Charlottetown Police responded to a call about a possible impaired driver on Prince Street. Police located the vehicle sitting stationary with a man in the driver’s seat passed out with a can of beer in the cup holder. The Officer awoke the man and arrested him after determining that he was showing signs of being impaired by alcohol.
A 43 year old Stratford man was charged with impaired driving after providing breath samples that police say were twice the legal limit.
